I spent the weekend of June 20th and 21st at the 2009 Guelph Faery Fest. The event itself was great fun and well organized, despite rain and drizzle for most of Saturday. Sunday was beautiful, and more then made up the foul weather the previous day. I met some existing readers and hopefully many new ones.
I am pleased to announce that Zoe is the winner of the 2009 Guelph Faery Fest colouring contest. Her entry won her a family pass for the Waterloo Central Railway. Congratulations.
I also ran a caption contest. Ines Markljevic provided the above caption.
A honourable mention goes to Clare N. Taylor who wrote:
“I got this when I was a baby, and it’s the first time I’ve worn it since, and it already shrank.”
Melchior Bodnar’s caption also merits a honourable mention:
“Dragon [Phil]: I think I still look like a dragon.
“Mouse [Barrett]: Relax, all we have to do is go into Timmothy’s house, get the tooth, and get out. He’ll never know.
“Phil: Riiiiiiiigght…”
I had a hard time deciding between the various submissions. The above three all alluded to a bigger story, of which this frame is a small part. Some of the best jokes leave the funniest images for us to imagine ourselves.
Stay funny.
